Teej is a one of the name of festival which is celebrate by nepali womens. This festival is celebrate on the month of bhadra. This festival is celebrate by wearing red dress,red ornaments and they dance in traditional teej song and also celebrate by singing a traditional teej song.In this day womens worship to the goddess parvati and as well as goddess shiva.
The first day of teej is called dar khane din.In this day all the member of family especially womens they all gather at one place and start to sing and dance in traditional teej song. Dar means those heavy food which helps all womens for their fasting of another day.
The second day it is also known as main day of teej because in this day all womens are in fasting.In this day they wake up in the morning ,They take a bath and wear full red dress and ornaments then they go to the temple and worship goddess shiva. They donot eat anything upto third day.
In the third day they wake up early and take bath and again worship parvati.Then after they can eat food.
